What is a steam cleaner?

It is a cleaning machine that generates high temperature steam of nearly 100 degrees. It is said that even stubborn stains can be easily cleaned because the steam floats the stains. Places where the brush is hard to reach or where you don't want to touch it are OK.

There are three types of steam cleaners: a handy type that is suitable for cleaning small areas, a stick type that mainly cleans the floor, and a canister type that is suitable for long-term use. Introducing the usability of the stick type that I had and the newly released handy type "Shark Handy Steam Cleaner".

Clean up the darkness with a steam cleaner

Handy types like the "Shark Handy Steam Cleaner" are big things that are difficult to clean, such as cloth sofas and curtains, ventilation fans that tend to get sticky with or without cleaning at the end of the year, and if you don't wash them every day, they're ready to go. Ideal for slimy drains, dairy spills and oil stains around stoves that are stubborn lumps.

So, I immediately cleaned the curtain with steam clay.

It takes a day to wash the curtains, but it takes less than an hour to clean the curtains throughout the house.

The first time I used the handy type, I felt it was surprisingly heavy. The "Shark Handy Steam Cleaner" weighs about 1.55 kg with the main body alone. Since it is filled with water, it will carry about 2 kg when used. Compared to the stick type, it is less bulky, so it is convenient for storage.

Clean the oil stains on the glass intensively with steam. After this, when I wiped it off with a cloth, it became shiny.

With this level of dirt, a handy steam cleaner will quickly run out of water. It took about two water supplies to clean this area with just a steamer. This kind of stain is difficult because it can be cleaned with "dishwashing detergent + baking soda", but if you are not good at chemicals such as your hands getting rough with detergent, steam cleaner is recommended.

I personally felt that steam was particularly effective in the grooves and gaps that were difficult to clean with a sponge or brush.

The temperature control button (?) On the faucet in the bathroom tends to collect scale, and I always felt it was dirty, so I just cleaned it with "Shark Handy Steam Cleaner".

Since it is a high temperature steam of about 100 degrees, it can be expected to have sterilization and antifungal effects, and it will make the environment easy to keep clean, so it will be easier to clean from the next time.

By the way, the handy type is not suitable for cleaning a large area such as the floor. If you want to clean the floor and tatami mats, the stick type is definitely convenient.

There are two cats in my house, and they spend most of their time in the carpet room. Therefore, I diligently use a stick-type steam cleaner to sterilize and take measures against odors. You can kill mites at high temperatures, so even if a cat carries mites, you don't have to panic.

Since it can also be used for tatami mats, it is also used for mold prevention / mites in Japanese-style rooms. It's hard to dry tatami mats, so it's really helpful to be able to easily clean them with a steamer. The feel of the carpet and tatami mats after steaming is comfortable and addictive.

In addition, although this was an unexpected by-product, I was able to relax after buying a steam cleaner.

For example, if a child is absorbed in playing and spills paint on the carpet or a cat vomits, he can now think, "I should clean it with a steamer."

If it is completely soaked, it will not come off, but if it is treated immediately, the stain will be considerably lightened. I also feel that stains on clothes are easy to remove if washed after steaming.

Handy type is useful if you use it for other than cleaning

Can steam cleaners only be used to clean niche areas? No, that's not the case. You can do the following just by thinking about it.

When I tried to wear silk materials and cotton shirts, it was wrinkled ... That's when the steam cleaner comes in.

If you change the attachment, you can quickly smooth out wrinkles while hanging on the hanger. You can increase the chances of wearing fashionable clothes that you tend to avoid because they are not well maintained.

It can also be used to remove pollen during this period. I put it in the front door because I can remove the smell. If you keep it all the time, a relatively compact steam cleaner is advantageous.

It can also handle double punches of pollen and smell such as cherry blossom viewing x BBQ.

Battery-powered stuffed animals and stuffed animals that start talking when you press your stomach are popular with children, but the drawback is that they cannot be washed. It is said that stuffed animals tend to be hotbeds for mites, so I am worried.
