Rumba rag "Braava 380j" (Brava) is a cleaning robot dedicated to wiping floors! It's a sister product of that Roomba!
Hurry 2014 is just around the corner. This time, let's introduce a cleaning robot that is perfect for this time of year. It is a floor mopping robot ``Braava 380j'' (Brava) that wipes and cleans every corner of a room with the push of a button. Released in July this year. After the sale, it was so popular that it was out of stock, and the sale was just resumed at the end of November.
Rubber rumba, "Braava 380j" (Brava)
It may not be very smart to call it a rag rumba, but this is the feature of "Braava 380j" in a nutshell. I think it represents "Roomba" is a pioneer of fully automatic robot vacuum cleaners. Many similar products have been released, but there is even a feeling that "Rumba" has become a synonym for robot vacuum cleaners in Japan. The Braava is the first robotic vacuum cleaner that can do a rag.
"Brava" is the same iRobot product as "Rumba"!
Rumba's popularity is due to its high performance. Not only is the concept interesting, but it cleans the floor properly. That's why we increased our sales. And this time "Brava" is a new product made by iRobot, the same company as Roomba. I have high hopes that it will surely satisfy me in terms of functionality.
"Rumba" sucks dust as an automatic vacuum cleaner, but "Brava 380j" is a robot dedicated to wiping. You can choose from two cleaning modes, wet wiping and wiping, and it cleans without leaving sticky stains such as sebum stains and rough stains such as dust. Because it is only for wiping, it can be used in places with flooring and tiles. Flooring materials include wood, tile, vinyl, linoleum and laminate. It cannot be used on tatami mats, rugs, carpets, etc.
In other words, if you just want to remove fine dust, "Brava" can be used in an upward compatible way with Roomba, but the nuance is that it cannot clean carpets. Carpets with a thickness of 3 mm or more are automatically recognized, so there is no risk of them getting on the carpet.
Package contents of "Braava 380j" (Brava)
First, let's take a look at the contents. The set includes: Braava main unit, AC adapter, quick charging stand, NorthStar cube, wet cleaning pad, dry cloth (white), wet cloth (blue), water conduction cap (for replacement), AA batteries (2), handling Instructions.
First, charge the main unit. Attach the AC adapter to the rapid charging stand.
What you notice here is the big difference from the Roomba. In the case of Roomba, when the room is finished cleaning or the battery is low, it automatically returns to the charging station called "home base" and starts charging. Braava, however, needs to be manually placed on a stand. As will be described later, in addition to this, "Brava" requires some manual work unlike Roomba. It should be noted that it is not fully automatic.
