Theme: LivLoop promoting the drainage promotion app that activates waste power generation
Announcement Overview:
Providing apps to spread the means of reducing the amount of water contained in garbage to ordinary households, and proposes waste power generation by garbage from home. This aims to realize a resource recycling society while reducing the burden on disposal operators. Among the general waste, we focus on garbage power generation because it has a potential market value of about 12 billion yen, but is the most popular waste power generation due to poor power generation efficiency. The cause is probably because 80 % of lively garbage has reduced the combustion efficiency. In order to solve this task, we provide an app that is designed to drain the garbage. In addition, according to the amount of water reduced, the benefits of users have been revealed by returning up to 7 billion yen by lottery among the earnings obtained by waste power generation. Increase the number of people who cooperate with draining. It is thought that these initiatives will greatly reduce the energy consumption of the disposal business and approach the resource recycling society.

Theme: Personal discharge trading service "I-ETS"
Announcement Overview:
We propose a service that gives incentives by saving power so that not only companies but also the general public can contribute to the achievement of carbon native and SDGs. Give the value of "power saving" performed by each household itself. In partnership with general shipping and distributors, the power consumption of each household is measured, and the CO2 that deserves the reduced power is compiled by the "I-ETS" for individuals. Share emissions to companies such as manufacturers and make money by the brokerage fee. Incentive to each family in consideration of the degree of contributing to power saving in the discharge transaction. Based on annual energy consumption per households that are published by the Ministry of the Environment every year, the number of households is set by the number of households, and the value of incentives according to the amount of power saving of each household calculated from it. Is determined. Exhaust trading is a system that is expected to start demonstration experiment in 2022, and is expected to increase awareness of CO2 reduction. Despite the advantages of users, which saves electricity bills and saving power, can appeal to companies to achieve CO2 reduction targets and consider the environment.

Theme: Realization of compact city by small house
Announcement Overview:
We propose a business "Smart Design", which sells a small house "Small House" online, aiming to promote compact citys online, aiming to promote compact citys online, aiming to promote compact citys. "Smart Design" provides a compact room with easy -to -heat and energy efficiency, and a design that enlarges windows to reduce the number of lighting during the day. The optimal cooling and heating equipment, etc. is installed in consideration of regional characteristics. For the elderly, it is designed to make it easier for the elderly to take care of the steps, make a sliding door, and increase the toilet, so that resale by relocation will proceed smoothly. From these perspectives, design the design to make a compact house. Incorporating ZEH to create a house tailored to the local environment for regional revitalization and compact cities, we propose a cheaper design plan while using the private system. It is expected that the design fee will be reduced to reduce the design fee by using the design, the use of the subsidy system, and the private system.

Interview with the Best Award winner
After the contest, we interviewed the LIVLOOP team, which won the EMIRA Best Award, and Mr. Shinichi Tanabe, Professor of Waseda University Science and Engineering Academy, a judge, and Toru Takahashi Co., Ltd.
<"EMIRA Best Award / LIVLOOP" interview>
-Please tell us your frank impressions that won the highest award.
Before the announcement, I was confident that I could win the highest award, so I intended to make something that would be a good team.I got the result as expected and I was really happy.
―What made you focus on the theme of the presentation, the “drainage promotion app that activates waste power generation”?
The theme of this vizicone was "how to live x energy", so when we all came up with ideas, we arrived at "home garbage classification".The increase in home garbage due to the increase in self -restraint period was also a common issue, so as a result of digging from there, we decided to focus on "garbage".The problem was how to involve energy there.Overseas cases were analyzed, and the concept of smart sort was born in Indonesia, so we devised it with reference.
-What do you think the task would be if you actually proceed with this business?
It is the local government that runs a waste power plant, but since there is no room for finances, it is the most important issue that the hurdle to sign a contract as a business compared to the private sector. The other is that the return amount depends on the number of contracts with the local government, so if you cannot cooperate with the local government, the reduction will be lower. In that case, the app will not be established, so I feel that it is also an issue how to convey the charm to the local government with the start dash and get many contracts.
―I think you're preparing for this announcement and conducting daily research in the Corona evil. Please tell me the fact that you are struggling.
The meeting was basically done online, but online was the merit of the time convenience, but there were also discrepers of recognition because it was over the screen. In some cases, the story went on without noticing it, and in that regard, I felt the difficulty of packing ideas online.
-What do you think about the future of this research?
At the moment, the clear plan has not been decided so far, but first of all, we have been interviewing some power plants and local governments in considering this idea and taught me various things, so this is the result.I want to report. If there is a progress in the story, I hope that the team will reconsider and develop.
-How did you feel about the ideas of 5 pairs?
Unlike everyday research and papers, it is important to think without restrictions. It is also very important that the world will change and become a business. The level was very high, and in the Q & A session, the judge sometimes asked a difficult question, but I thought that everyone was bright and serious. All five were really good.
-Please answer what you feel from the student's ideas and your impressions.
In a real company, if you suggest something, you will get rid of it, but the students were very good and responded.Even if you were criticized or received negative opinions, you found and answered how to break through. It has become a severe society since we were young.I think there are many oppositions to the proposal, but I feel that it is very important to try to break that.
-What do you think about the theme of "how to live x energy"?
Actually, it is a CO2 that is discharged by living and working in one -third of the whole world.I think there are few opportunities to be aware, but energy is directly linked to living.About 5 % of household expenditures are used for energy.I think the price will rise in the process of carbonization in the future, and it is a very large problem internationally.Since Japan is a country without natural resources, I think that you have to think more than other countries how to use it carefully.
-Please give advice to students from all over the country who work hard.
Thinking about the future is very important. Now I don't think there is a chance to discuss the corona, but there is something that can be obtained more than thinking alone to discuss and see everyone's work.Wouldn't it be nice to be able to participate in such an opportunity without shy, get opinions, listen to everyone's presentations, discuss and raise each other?
-How did you feel about the ideas of 5 pairs?
All were wonderful ideas. It's very good and I want everyone to join TEPCO.The presentation ability is also very high. The same is true of speaking, the same is true, and some of the videos are announced, so I thought the level was very high.It was also impressive that some teams were reflected in the final judging and changed their suggestions from the second judging.
-Please answer what you feel from the student's ideas and your impressions.
The idea was novel and flexible.I was inspired because I thought it was a part that was lost with my age.Electricity is dangerous if you send it to a "person" and it is dangerous, but if you send it to "thing", it will be worth it.When you enter the fluorescent light, it becomes "light", and when air conditioning is entered, it becomes "heat".That's why the value is born for the first time.We provide electricity, but we think that providing electricity will ultimately provide "comfort" and "safety".However, I thought that it was not only for electricity, and there was a part that made me think again after hearing this announcement. It was a trigger to think about what we offer, or what we can do in a different way.
-What do you think about the theme of "how to live x energy"?
I was talking with the judge members, but I think the gap is very important. The gap is worth it.I think that electricity is now a matter of course, but I think it is important to have it recognized as a "value".At that time, I would like to show the value in the future, not the electricity itself, and the value of the way of living.
-Did you have the same idea of the business you are working on and the services you provide?
The theme was energy, so it was a lot. I hope that we can make a business well while referring to these ideas. In a proposal for living using "solar power generation", "Oisama EcoCute", and "Storage Battery" released the other day, you can store energy generated by solar power in storage batteries and eco cute. Then, hot water and electricity can be used not only in normal times but also in disasters, and we have started a service that allows "comfort" and "security" to be obtained while contributing to the realization of carbon neutral at the initial cost of 0. This Enechari Plus is a scheme where TEPCO borrows the roof of customers and performs solar power. It is an image of renting a roof place and making a mini power plant. There was also a theme related to these services, so I wanted to expand my ideas as a reference.
